Classroom News:

Reading - This week we will start reading The Hundred Dresses. This is a classic story of how to treat other people. We will work on vocabulary words, comprehension, and understanding the author's point of view.

Math - This week we will be working on place value. This includes new vocabulary words such as standard form, expanded form, and word form. We will work on rounding numbers to the nearest tens and hundreds. A note about Spiral Reviews - Each week we will complete a spiral review worksheet. These are skills that have been previously taught and are constantly working on to master. Below is the second math website to practice those basic math facts.

Science - We continue to study sound and how sound is made. We will be completing experiments that involve sound and vibrations. Children are encouraged to make an instrument from recycled items. This is not a graded assignment but something fun!

*Please continue to sign planners each night. Third graders are working on being organized.

* Snack will be after 2:00. Thank you for sending healthy snacks.

* Chapel starts at 8:25 sharp and lunch starts at 11:10. Please feel free to join us!
