Class News:
Reading - This week in reading we will be reading stories from our reading series.  We will be working on reading comprehension.

Language -  We will be creating a snowman glyph and writing a winter poem.

Math - We will continue our unit on multiplication.  We will be working on memorizing our multiplication facts.  We will continue to work on problem solving.

Science - We will have a test on the phases on the moon and the planets next Wednesday, January 11.  A study guide will go home this week.

Rain forest - We will begin our rain forest unit next Monday by watching a video and do a K-W-L chart.  This is a very exciting unit for the third graders.  We know creating the animals is very intimidating to some parents so we encourage you to guide your child to the size of animal you are willing to make.  Making the animal is a family project so we need both students and parents involved in making the animal.  We will start looking at rain forest animals next week so a little conversation with your third grader about the size of animal is greatly appreciated.
