Week of April 15 - no homework due to testing

Other information:

* On Wednesday, April 11 the third graders will be assigned a book report that will be due Wednesday, April 25.  They may choose a book at school or one from home.  We want the students to choose a book at their reading level but it needs to be a chapter book.   We are giving two weeks to finish the book report but we know some will finish early.  Your child is welcome to bring in their book report early if they finish.  Each child will share his/her book report with the class.

* During testing week we ask that you send two snacks with your child.  We will have a break during morning testing to have a snack.  Then we will have our usual snack time in the afternoon.  We ask the morning snack be healthy and simple because we will only have about 10 minutes for snack.  Also, please remember to send a water bottle with your child.

*This is your notice that we are going on a field trip to see James and the Giant Peach on Wednesday, April 18.  If you remember you don't sign a permission slip per field trip but one at the beginning of the year that covers all field trips.

*During testing week we will take a break from multiplication testing.  We will continue the week of April 23.

* A couple parents asked when the third grade spring music showcase will be.  It is scheduled for Thursday, May 3.  We are checking on the time of this event.

What:  ECC/LOWER SCHOOL TRANSITION NIGHT OPEN HOUSE

 (Parent/Guardian Only Event for current Toddler – 4^th grade students)

Time: 6:00 – 7:00 PM

The ECC and Lower School Division teachers and staff invite you to visit the grade level your child will be entering in the next school year. This is a casual and informal opportunity for you to meet the teachers, walk through the classrooms and see examples of current student work and projects. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about what’s to come in the next school year.
