Class News:
New Student - We are thrilled to welcome Gordon (Gordy) Davig to the third grade.
Helpful information for Oregon Trail Day:
1. You are welcome to send in your food items in the morning. We have outlets for crock pots and a refrigerator for other items. Please try to label your dish if you want it returned.
2. After lunch we will have our bartering activity. Students can bring up to 3 items to barter with classmates. They will not get these items back.
3. Students can bring a change of clothes for the afternoon.
Reading: We continue to read If I Traveled West in a Covered Wagon. In language we are incorporating what we are learning into a historical fiction journal.
Math: We will continue working on the concept of multiplication this week. We will be writing word problems to show our understanding.
Science: We are working hard on learning the names of the bones. We are creating a dancing skeleton to help us learn the names. We encourage the students to start learning the names of the bones in sections.
Spelling: We have a shorter spelling list this week because we know the words have been quite challenging. Please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher if the words are too difficult. We want your child to succeed and am willing to help you shorten the list.
