Class News:

Reading/Language - We are finishing our Oregon Trail unit this week.  The students are doing a nice job writing a historical fiction journal about life on the Oregon Trail.

Math - We continue to work on multiplication.  Students are starting to practice their multiplication facts.  So far we have studied: 0,1,2,3,4,5, & 10.  On the blog are some apps for the ipad to help students practice facts. 

Science - Our test over the bones is Thursday.  The students need to name all the bones along with answer simple questions such as: What bones are in the hand? or Where might I find the maxilla? They should also know there are two hundred six bones in an adult human body. There are thirty-three vertebrae in the spine. The kids have their Mr. Bones as a study guide as well as a review Brain Pop that we went through. They created some great songs and performed them today!

Halloween - Next Wednesday is our Halloween party.  The party will be from 2:30-3:15.  The students are allowed to come to school dressed in their costumes.  They can stay in their costumes all day as long as they aren't too distracted.  We will be doing some work in the morning.  Please stay away from very gory costumes at school.
