Math:

Students are finishing up our units on perimeter and area.  We will have our concluding lesson on Thursday.  The week of May 16th  we will focus on data analysis and look at various forms of graphs and how to locate information and make prediction based on graph data. THERE WILL BE NO MORNING MATH SESSION THE REST OF THE YEAR. Thank you to all of those students and parents that consistently made the effort to come each week.

Language Arts and Grammar:

This week students will work on lesson 15 of Wordly Wise and will test over these words on Friday, May 13. 

Mrs. Thompson's class is in the middle of demonstration speeches and presenting their work.  Miss Stark's class will begin these presentations the week of May 16th. 
In Grammar we are continuing to add to sentences for classifying. Possessive nouns and direct objects will be learned and added soon! The students are doing really well with sentence classifying/labeling.

Reading:

This week and next week students will conclude their reading of Charlotte's Web, written by E.B. White. We will find a joint time for all of third grade to watch this movie together.  Students will also take a final test over the book and the movie.

Science:
Students will continue to learn about simple machines, as well as doing a couple of Mystery Science activities.
