Classroom News:

Reading - We continue to read The Hundred Dresses.  This books contains a lot of vocabulary words that are new to third graders.  We are reading in groups, as a class, and silently at our desks.

Math - This week we will work on 5 & 6 digits numbers.  We are working on saying large numbers without using the word "and".    We continue to work on standard form, expanded form, and word form with the large numbers.

Science - We continue to work on sound. Some of the sound vocabulary words are: vibration, pluck, chord, and cord.  There is a lot of sound coming from Mrs. Barber's room. 

Language - Do you know what a "Garbage Can" word is?  It isn't a bad word but a word that isn't very descriptive such as fine, like, good, etc. We are working on eliminating these words from our writing to add more descriptive words.


Extras:  
*Thank you for talking with your child about the Eucharist Chapel last Friday. They did a really nice job for a long chapel.
