Class news:
Reading - This week we will read Sarah, Plain & Tall. This book is filled with rich vocabulary words which will challenge the students! It is a story about a mail order bride with a very stubborn personality.
Language - We continue to work on our writing piece of historical fiction. We will publish them this week and share them with classmates.
Math - Our next unit is on graphs and collecting data. Students took a pretest over these concepts and it was interesting to see what they already knew. Last Friday they created a pictograph with information we collected in class.
Science - We have begun our unit on the Solar System. This week we will focus on the sun as a star and the seasonal changes based on the planets rotation around the sun.
Other News:
* Thank you to Mr. Strautman for reading to Ms. Beilharz's class last week.
*In last week's blog we stated that we would be posting a blog with only pictures. We didn't forget but the computer isn't cooperating. It is taking 5 minutes to download one picture. The technology staff is working with us to fix this problem so hopefully we'll have pictures soon!! Thanks for your patience!
*In next week's blog we will list all the events for the Christmas season. Please check it with your calendar in hand!
