Homework:
Monday- Read 15 minutes, write missed spelling words 3 times
Tuesday - Read 15 minutes, ABC order
Wednesday - Read 15 minutes, Spelling sentences
Thursday - Study for spelling test
Friday - Spelling test, Enjoy time with family and friends

Classroom News -

Reading - we are discussing My Father's Dragon.  We have discussed vocabulary words and character choice.

Math - Our first unit will be on place value. 

Science - Our first unit will be on plants.

Talking and Homework Reminders - Tomorrow we will be starting a new system regarding homework and discipline.  If your child forgets homework then they will bring home a pink slip for you to sign.  This is a reminder for them to do their homework but also so you know that they forgot their homework.  They may bring home a green slip because they had to be reminded several times to stop talking.  This is our way of communicating with you about your child's behavior.  Please discuss the importance of both of these items and ways your child can be successful.  If the slips aren't returned then they will miss 5 minutes of recess.  We can discuss this more at Curriculum Night but we want to start at the beginning so the students know third grade expectations.
