Class News:

Reading - We continue to read Lewis & Clark: In their Own Words.  We will hopefully finish the book this week and do a test over the book and some other activities.

Math - Last week we studied addition all week.  This week we will continue to work on addition but also work on rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, & 1000.

Science - Our first science test over plants is Wednesday.  The students have been reviewing in science and working on how to write a written response answer.  For example, you do not write a response beginning with "because".  The students know to use part of the question in their response.

Field Trip - We will leave for Mahaffie Farm around 8:45 and return by 2:15.  The students need to dress appropriately for the weather.  They also need to bring a sack lunch with a drink.  It helps to have the lunch in a disposable sack so we can throw it away and not worry about it making it back to school.  Also, since you all signed a release at the beginning of the year we do not need you to sign another permission slip.  This is your notice that we will be going on a field trip.  We expect the students to bring their best behavior.
