Class News:

Rainforest - This week we will research the food and food chain of each animal.  The students are working so hard on their research and we are so proud.   Mrs. Barber's class is writing poetry about their animal while Ms. Beilharz's class is working on their layer papers.  Both classes will complete each project but just at different times.

*Thank you to Amy Holewinski, Leslie Kostner, Julie McCann, and Mary Morris, for helping with the rainforest this week.  We have the first layer up and are working on the second layer.  You are welcome any time to help with the rainforest except during chapel time.  Grab a friend and come help set up the rainforest.

*This week we will be sending a hard copy and an email copy of those special family and friends you want to invite to the rainforest.  We will mail invitations next week.  Look for this in backpack/emails on Wednesday.


Math - this week we continue to work on fractions.  We will focus on fractional parts of a set, finding fractions on a number line and fractions and length.  Thank you for encouraging your child to study his/her multiplication facts. Keep studying those facts!

Science - We are discussing medicinal plants this week. We will also begin talking about the cocoa plant!


Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences:
We will send the Sign-Up Genius on Wednesday around noon.  Conferences are March 7 & 8.  We believe this is the fairest way for everyone!
