Class News:

Reading - we continue to read Charlotte's Web. We are working on vocabulary, comprehension, and reading with expression.  There are so many wonderful characters in the story and using different voices to read the different parts is very fun!

Math - we are finishing up our time unit.  This is a something that everyone can practice at home.  A way to practice elasped time is to give your students a scenario.  For example, we are going to eat dinner in 45 minutes.  What time will we eat dinner?  I'm picking you up in one hour and 30 minutes.  What time will I pick you up?  These is helpful to continue practicing even though we have moved on to another topic.

Science -We ar finishing up our discussion of the planets and our solar system. Last night Saturn could be seen in the sky near the moon. I did not get a bird' eye view, but they had some fabulous pictures on the news! We will be reviewing for our test which will be Tuesday, May 7.

Thank you to Mr. Willis for talking to both classes about saving money.  We appreciate his time and effort in talking with the kids about the importance of saving money.
