www.coolmath4kids and www.surfnetkids  have great programs to practice facts in several
core areas and some games just for fun!

Class News:

Reading - We continue to enjoy the escapades of Charlotte, Wilbur and friends in
"Charlotte's Web." The kids are doing a great job of reading expressively.

Math - Mr. Ronan is working on perimeter and area this week.

Science - We finish our our space unit and begin our unit on simple machines.

Social Studies - We are finishing our unit on national and state government. We have compared our national government with state government, learning the three branches, their responsibilibites and whom makes up each branch. Test will be next Tuesday.

Book Swap for 1st - 4th grades on May 10th. Be cleaning out those unwanted books that are still treasures and "new" in another students' eyes! Students may participate in a voluntary book swap this Friday. Each student may bring in up to five books to swap for a "new" book for summer reading! Books must be at least 1st-2nd grade reading level. Board book and magazines will not be accepted.
