Third
through Fifth Grade Ice Skating Field Trip - On Friday, December 20, third through fifth grade students will be able to
enjoy ice skating with their classmates during our field trip to Line Creek.
Students are welcome to bring their own skates if they wish, but ice skates
will also be provided. Students may also bring $5 or less to spend at the snack
bar while we ice skate. We will leave right after Eucharist Chapel and will
return at approximately 12. Parents are welcome to meet us at Line Creek and
skate with their child.
Class News:
Reading - We are finishing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Our test will be an essay test where the students will have a list of ten questions about the book and they will choose 5 to answer. They will be able to use the book to answer the questions.
Math - This week we will work on a couple of projects. One of them will be making a budget for a class party. The other one will be having the students create a division or multiplication game. There will be a math facts quiz on Thursday. We took a couple of weeks off due to other tests and events but Ms, Beilharz wanted to get one in before the long holiday.
Science - We will continue our study of the human body in Science this
week, with an emphasis on muscles.
* A big thank you to Laura & Kathryn Brooks for talking to the students about The Nutcracker. They did a nice job of explaining the story and parts of the ballet. The students were very well behaved during the performance and it was fun to see a classmate on stage.
* Another thank you to Dr. Mara Becker for talking with the third graders about their bones. The third graders did a great job of participating in the discussion. We have added some pictures below.
