Language Arts:

Students continue to work on grammar skills.  We will also begin introducing students to skills that will be assessed on the standardized test in April.  Students will work on practice worksheets that test student knowledge of analogies, comprehension, vocabulary, mathematics, writing concepts, and quantitative reasoning. 
This week students will begin lesson 11 of Wordly Wise.

Reading:

Miss Stark's class will begin reading "The Whipping Boy" by Sid Fleischman.
Mrs. Thompson's class will begin reading "George's Marvelous Medicine" by Roald Dahl.

Math:

This week students will continue working on Fractions.  We will working with fractions on a number line, fraction estimation, and determining length with fractions.  We will also begin working on the math preparation for the standardized test in April.

Science:

Students will continue to learn about patterns in the sky, in particular, "Why does the Moon's shape change?" and "Star Patterns".
