Class Notes:

Reading - we continue to read Charlotte's Web. The students are working hard on learning new vocabulary words.  Also, we appreciate your help with the challenging spelling words.  We know the words are challenging but we know the students can do it.

Math - This week we will work on area, perimeter, and volume.  We will continue to take multiplication quizzes until next Monday. Please help your child study!

Science -We will be finishing our plant unit this week and will have a short quiz Friday. This quiz will be over discussions we have had in class and experiments we have done.

Flag raising chapel - Next Monday the 3-5 grades will gather around the flagpole to raise the flag that Ava Chinnock's uncle sent to the third graders as a thank you gift for the Christmas cards.  It will be a brief chapel but one that will also celebrate Armed Forces Day.

Field Day is next Tuesday!  The students will participate in events from 9-11.  The parents are invited to come join them at 11:00 for games and lunch on the field.  The students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a hat.  Also, depending on the weather they can bring or put sunscreen on before school.  We encourage parents to bring a blanket for the picnic lunch.

Last day of school - On Thursday May 23 we will walk to South Moreland Park.  Students need to bring a cold lunch unless you ordered one from school.
