Math - Tuesday is our math test on geometry.  We will continue studying geometry by working on solid figures.

Science - We will be working on plants the remainder of the year. The kids are nurturing the flowers they planted with success and today we began a bean sprouting experiment.

A couple notes about the last week of school:

Field Day - Tuesday, May 22 - 9:00-11:00

Third grade parents always have some questions about Field Day.
*You are welcome to watch your third grader in Field Day.
*You are invited to come from 11:00-11:30 to participate in activities with your child.  You need to wear your sneakers because you will be running.  It is a fun day to play games with your 3-5 grade child/children.
*After participating in Field Day activities you are welcome to bring a cold lunch and have a picnic with your child on the field.  Your child may order hot lunch that day but we do not provide lunch for all parents.

Last Day of School - Thursday, May 24

End of Year Party at Southmoreland Park -
For our end of the year celebration, the  third, fourth and fifth grades will be walking to Southmoreland Park on Thursday,  May 24.
Southmoreland Park is within 15 minutes walking from St. Paul’s School, between Warwick and Oak Street, and adjacent to the Nelson-Atkins Museum .
We will leave the school at 11:30 and return to school by 2 PM.
At the park we will enjoy each others’ company as we have lunch, play group games and other activities.
If you wish for your child to have a sack lunch from the cafeteria please tell Mrs. Barber or Ms. Beilharz by Friday, May 11.
