Class News:
Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies: In each of these subjects we will be studying the rain forest, the animals and the layers of the rain forest. This week we will concentrate on the size and appearance of the animals as students begin their research.

Grammar: We will continue classifying/diagrammimg sentences including prepositions, object of the preposition, and prepositional phrases.

Science: Using the science textbook the students have studied various ecosystems, and now will study the chapter, Plants and Animals Living Together. This gives them some background information to understand the rain forest and the animals in it as we study them.

Math - This week we continue to studying division.  We will be working on dividing by 0 & 1 and dividing with remainders.  We also continue to use the correct vocabulary in division such as dividend, divisor, and quotient.  Third graders are really improving on their multiplication facts.  Thank you for your help.
