Important Rainforest Dates:

Thursday & Friday, February 12 & 13 Rainforest Animals due (Please do not send them in early because we don't have space)
Tuesday, March 3 11:30-1:00 Rainforest Open House

Rainforest - We continue to research our animals.  Third graders worked hard on finding interesting information about the size and appearance of their animal.  This week we will study the habitat of each rainforest animal.  We will also start typing our papers in computer lab this week.  We continue to learn about the layers of the rainforest and will start our layer paper this week.  

Math - This week we will review for our division test.  We will aslo create bar graphs of the amount of rainfall in the rainforest and United States cities.  The third graders continue to progress on their multiplication facts tests.  Some students will start division next week.  The division tests will be 0-12.

Science -This week we are studying food chains, how living things compete, and how environments change. We are relating our text book reading to the rainforest, and applying our knowledge to our rainforest studies.
