RAINFOREST NEWS
The rainforest looks wonderful. Thanks to all who helped assemble it and position animals. In addition to those whom we thanked last week, many thanks to Britton Norden, Lina Dickinson,
Nicole Blanc, Kay Gaffney, Janet Greaves, Susan Bell,Tess Hawes, Lynne McElhinney, Ashley Pindell, and Julie Tomasic. If we have forgotten anyone please let us know and you will be included in the next blog. The animals are amazing. Thanks to each and everyone of you for this family project.
In writing, reading, and science we will finish our layer papers, work some more on the animal reports, write some rainforest poetry, read more about rainforests, make bromeliads for the rainforest, and learn about products derived from the rainforest.
Tuesday, March 3 11:30-1:00 Rainforest Open House
Hopefully the guests whom your children have invited have received their invitations. Of course if someone cannot come for the Open House on March 3rd, we can arrange an alternative time for a tour. Also students will have the opportunity to give tours to their younger siblings and cousins.
Math: This week students will be working on fractions on number lines.
Grammar: We will continue to practice diagrammimg/classifying sentences.
Science: There will be a vocabulary test that will involve matching vocabulary words to their definitions on February 25. A review sheet will be sent home on Wednesday or Thursday.
