Class News:

Reading - We continue to read The Chocolate Touch.  This story is a retelling of the King Midas story but with chocolate instead of gold.

Math - this week in math we will work on improper fractions and mixed number.

Science - We conclude our rainforest science, making "Save the Rainforest" posters, writing letters to parents about saving the rainforests, and using an ecology app on the ipads.

Language - We will reviews verbs and start writing our explanatory writing project.

Rainforest Wrap Up - Thank you for all of your help with the rainforest unit.  We couldn't do this project without you. Thank you to all the parents who helped in a variety of ways throughout the unit from putting up the vines and leaves, to setting up the food for the Rainforest Open House,  and cleaning up after it was over. The students worked so hard on their projects and took so much pride in showing their guests everything.
