Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies:
In each of these subjects students will be studying the rainforest, the animals and the layers of the rainforest. This week we will concentrate on the size and appearance of the animals as students begin their research.
We will also begin Lesson 8 in Wordly Wise. We continue with the grammar program, singing jingles and classifying/diagramimg sentences.
Science:
In science students will continue studying different ecosystems, grasslands, desert, tundra, forest ecosystems, and water ecosystems at the same time as they learn about the tropical rainforest. Next we will study Plants and Animals Living Together, another chapter in the science textbook
Math:
This week students will continue on Divison. We are working with story problems that involve both equations and students must complete multiple steps to find a solution. Students will also begin a graphing project related to the rainforest. This project will be dsiplayed during the Rainforest Open House in March.desert
