Language Arts:

This week students will continue working on lesson 12 of Wordly Wise and will test over these words on Friday, April 15.

Students will begin talking about, then writing a demonstration speech. These demonstrations will happen later in April. Please talk with your student about this speech, because students will be writing this speech, then presenting it and demonstrating whatever skill/craft/art/topic they have chosen. 

Reading:

Last week, Miss Stark's class finished The Whipping Boy and took the final test over the book and movie on Friday. Mrs Thompson's class is also completing the final activities for George's Marvelous Medicine.  Both classes will being reading passages from our reading text book, "Storytown."  We will begin a new novel next week.

Math:

This week we will only have math on Wednesday and Friday due to Standardized testing.  We will review the polygons we have learned about so far and begin working with quadrilaterals.  We are working in chapter 11 from our EnVision Math textbook.  Students can bring their math book home at any time for extra practice.  We will NOT have morning math on Tuesday due to standardized testing this week.  Thank you for your understanding.

Science:

We will continue learning about planets, and hopefully do some gardening in the community garden this week.
